Car park on left short distance uphill from entrance to sailing club.

From car park head uphill and at layby on right, take path at top end of layby.
Head uphill and turn right onto main path after approx 150 mtrs.
Follow the well defined path, contouring hillside with great views down to Errwood Reservoir down to your right.
Straight on beyond bench seat on right (signposted “footpath”).
Path heads away from reservoir and eventually crosses bridge over Wildmoorstone Brook, signposted “Goytsclough Quarry”.
Follow track uphill initially, passing through a gate and after track bends round leftwards, take path on right signposted “Goytsclough Quarry”.
Follow this path (boggy in parts, especially after heavy rain) to bridge over River Goyt (be certain to take the right fork down to the stream a short distance before the bridge).
Over bridge and uphill to road.
Turn right onto road and 50 mtrs after no entry sign, take path on right down to river.
Follow path downstream to road.
Straight over road onto track beyond metal gate.
Follow track and at junction of paths turn right, signposted “Errwood car park”.
At car park turn left onto road and follow this (or path up to the left) to next car park on left.
Take the right turn opposite this car park heading down to the dam.
Continue across dam, past sailing club and uphill for a short distance back to car.
